In Barcelona before the omicron madness, I visited the Museu Nacional d’Art de Catalunya, which has a large collection of Romanesque church art from the Pyrénées. The chapel art featured lots of these angels covered in eye-ball wings. I knew they were something ending in “-im,” but not much else.
